The Woman Behind the Moon
I am a mother of two daughters, ages 9 and 11. And it was only when I entered early menopause and began a deep healing journey that I truly began to understand what had always been mine to know.
The science of my cycle. The poetry of my phases. The wisdom she had been carrying all along, quietly waiting to be found.
And I realized, no one had ever told me, and when I looked around at the women closest to me, I was not alone.
It was unexpected and frightening, and there was zero preparation. So many of us grew up without any real conversation about what was happening, left to figure it out quietly on our own. For some, even a quiet sense of shame. Not celebrated or even explained.
We are cyclical beings, made in rhythm with the moon, with the seasons, with nature itself. Our cycles are not a burden. They are a map. We are superhuman. We carry life. We create life. We bleed and we rise, month after month, in harmony with forces greater than ourselves.
And that deserves to be celebrated.
My daughters will not be blindsided. They will be gathered, celebrated, and guided home to themselves. To the knowledge their bodies have always carried.
This is not just education. This is a homecoming.
